 An opportunity for composers

The day before accordionist Samuele Telari‘s concert, scheduled on sunday 27th November 2022 in Padova, Barco Teatro and Taverna Maderna offer to composers and amateurs without any restrictions the opportunity to work for an afternoon with one of the most active and promising Italian specialists of contemporary music for accordion. 

 How does it work?

The workshop will take place on Saturday, November 26th at Barco Teatro, in Padova (Via Orto Botanico 12), from 2 pm to 7 pm. Registered participants will have the opportunity to discuss and rehearse different instrumental techniques, to work on their piece’s strengths and weaknesses and to receive feedback from a prepared contemporary instrumentalist.

 Come partecipare

Registrations are open until November 15th, 2022. Submissions must be sent to the e-mail address info@tavernamaderna.it and they must include:

  • a completed application form, which can be downloaded from the link below;
  • [optional] the score, also incomplete, of a piece for or with accordion; the score can be sent also after the registration, but preferably before November 15th, for the instrumentalist to have time to review the materials before the workshop. 

Participants will have their registration confirmed in 1-2 days, then they will be asked to pay a fee of € 40.00. All participants who will be present at the workshop will receive a certificate.

SAMUELE TELARI

In 2019 Samuele was a prize-winner at the YCAT International Auditions held in London. Highlights of this season includes debut with Haydn Orchestra, conducted by Kent Nagano performing Sieben Worte by Gubajdulina, recitals at MITO Festival, Cheltenham Festival, Amici della Musica di Perugia with Opificio Sonoro, a documentary with Salvatore Sciarrino, a tour in Columbia sponsored by Banco de la Republica among the others.

Over the last year Samuele has given recitals at Snape Maltings, Wigmore Hall, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Verbier Festival, the Divertimento Ensemble Rondò series in Milan and Schlern Music Festival (North Italy).

In 2017 he released his first solo CD, LIMES (VDM Records), and in 2021 Goldberg Variations for Delphian Records reviewed on Il Sole 24 Ore, la Repubblica, Giornale della Musica, Suonare News, BBC Radio 3, Review in Tune, Record Record, Gramophone Magazine, The Scotsman among others.
Other highlights include live concerts commissioned for release online by Deal Music & Arts Festival, London International Festival of Early Music and the Banquo de la Republica in Colombia. Samuele has performed widely in Europe, highlights including the Società dei Concerti (Milan), Amici della Musica di Firenze, Cité de la Danse et la Musique (Strasbourg), Romaeuropa Festival, Amici della Musica di Padova and Berlin Philharmonie.

He appeared as soloist with State Hermitage Orchestra, Haydn Orchestra, FORM Orchestra, I Virtuosi Italiani. Very devoted to chamber music he collaborated with musicians as Ema Nikolovska, Tabea Debus, Simply Quartet, Esmè Quartet, Quartetto Fonè.

Passionate about developing new music he has given numerous premieres including works by Vittorio Montalti, Simone Cardini and Marcello Panni; and collaborated with theater artists Lisa Ferlazzo Natoli, Valerio Massimo Manfredi and Giorgio Panariello.

Awards include 1st Prizes at the 2018 Arassate-Hiria (Spain),2013 Castelfidardo (Italy) Competitions, 2016 Premio Abbado, 2017 Premio Valentino Bucchi among the others.
